Description: During Smithsonian Week public artists were commissioned to design and fabricate temporary artworks to celebrate the topic - "dinosaurs".
This project entailed three brightly colored windsocks constructed out of rip-stop nylon and textured through the team's own print making process, to create a flock of pre-historic birds aloft over Bluff Park.
Artist Selection: The Arts Council for Long Beach issued a request for qualifications for Artists residing in Los Angeles to Long Beach. The artists were selected by a professional arts panel.
Funding: Arts Council for Long Beach's Public Art Program.
