Artist in Residence
The Arts Council for Long Beach can deliver Artist in Residence programs in any arts discipline to Long Beach schools with available funding. These custom-designed residencies are tailored by the Arts Council for Long Beach in consultation with school staff to meet each school’s needs. Experienced teaching artists are carefully selected for each project. Residencies are designed to provide a more extensive arts experience that builds students’ self-confidence, focus and discipline by promoting team-work and fostering interest in learning.
